Hi, I’m Ashley, the heart behind Beginning and End. I’m a wife, mom, and storyteller who believes your wedding day should feel like you. My approach is calm, intentional, and rooted in connection. Before photography, I worked in early education, which taught me how to slow down, listen deeply, and see the beauty in small moments. That same care now shapes how I capture elopements filled with meaning and emotion.

I photograph elopements and intimate weddings for couples who care more about presence than perfection. Couples who want space to breathe, to feel deeply, and to start their marriage in a way that feels grounded and true. Whether that looks like exchanging vows on a foggy beach in Olympic National Park, gathering your closest people for a microwedding in Port Angeles, or slipping away for a quiet, just the two of you kind of day, I’m here to help you do it with intention.
My approach is deeply personal. I don’t just show up with a camera and a timeline. I walk with you through the entire process, from dreaming and planning to standing beside you on the day itself. I help you slow down. I help you choose locations that feel meaningful. I help you create space for moments that matter, not just photos that look good on Instagram.
I believe in love, and married to my own best friend, and that experience has shaped the way I view weddings. I know that the wedding day is not the goal. The marriage is. That belief shows up in the way I photograph, the way I guide, and the way I care for the people who trust me with their story.At the heart of my work is connection. I care about who you are, how you love, and what you value. I photograph non traditional timelines, faith filled days, quiet days, adventurous days, and everything in between. There is no one right way to get married here.

Ashley helped me put my vision to reality. We wanted a small intimate wedding with less than 20, and then I wanted to escape off to multiple locations to capture the wedding photos of my dreams and BOY did this guy do all of that and more. And, I should mention that when we connected, I had none of this planned. I didn't have a location, I didn't know where I wanted to take photos; basically I felt completely lost. Ashley helped me research AirBnb's. She sent over locations that were exactly what I had pictured. She wrote out the timeline and helped to make adjustments when ever they might have been needed. She provided the props, the laughter, and the made the magic happen. I can honestly say that I have absolutely no regrets or "wish I would have" thoughts. Our wedding day was a complete dream in every single aspect, and none of this would have been possible without a wedding photographer like Ashley who poured her whole heart into making our dreams come true.
